She can range from modern to traditional designs, although she thrives in blending the two together. Her ever-evolving style is sure to create a home that is timeless and unique.

House of Birdie Interiors offers complete home furnishings, including furniture, rugs, lighting, art, accessories and window treatments. With custom to semi -custom lines, House of Birdie Interiors ensures a truly individual & finished look for their clientele.

Meredith is also the resident artist for House of Birdie. She paints with a gravitation toward color, with the goal to create pieces that will be focal points within a home. You can find original artwork through this site, as well as through Over the Mantel in Columbia, SC & Studio 151 in Charleston, SC

Majoring in Studio Art with a minor in Art History from Sweet Briar College, Meredith then earned her MFA in Design from the University of South Carolina with a design assistantship. She has worked professionally in the Columbia area for 10+ years. Her creative background in both art & design, allows her to think holistically about what aesthetic the client wants, while balancing all elements that make it unique, comfortable & stylish.
Ava Andrews
Interior Design Assistant
A North Carolina native, Ava's lifelong passion for design led her to initially pursue a major in Visual Communications and Graphic Design at the University of South Carolina Columbia. However, recognizing that her true calling lay elsewhere, she strategically shifted her focus to Advertising, complementing it with a minor in Business Administration. Although the University of South Carolina Columbia lacked a specific interior design program, Ava remained determined to pursue her dream in the field. Taking a leap of faith, she put herself forward and is forever grateful to Meredith for believing in her and providing the opportunity to work with House of Birdie Interiors.

Ava's appreciation for interior design has deep roots, sparked by her grandmother, an interior design enthusiast who instilled this love early in her life. Growing up surrounded by design, art, and fashion has been integral to shaping her perspective.

At House of Birdie Interiors, Ava's responsibilities encompass a range of behind-the-scenes operations, including managing shop inventory, fostering client relations, and providing design assistance to Meredith. Her personal design style embodies a youthful enthusiasm and a keen eye, contributing a fresh and clean aesthetic to House of Birdie.

Outside of work, Ava is a rising senior at the University of South Carolina. She enjoys working out, spending time with friends, and staying involved on campus.
